If you are the boss of several employees, you may want to show your appreciation and gratitude to them as often as possible. Even though they are working for you, showing them how much they mean to you is important because it gives them even more reasons to continue doing a good job in the workplace. They may feel motivated to work harder and help you get more work done throughout the day. There are plenty of ways to show your appreciation and gratitude without spending a lot of money.

1. Offer Snacks and Refreshments

Keep your employees fed and refreshed with snacks and refreshments. You can make these refreshments available to employees in the break room so that they can grab a bite to eat and something to drink when they have the extra time to do so. Even though some of the employees may bring lunch to work, it does not hurt to offer food to them to keep their energy up while they work, especially if they are working long hours. Some of the different snacks you might want to offer include protein bars, granola bars, popcorn and chocolate.

2. Hand Out Crystal Awards on a Monthly Basis

Celebrate employee of the month by handing out crystal awards to those who were extremely productive during the month. They may have surpassed their goals or done something exceptionally well that impressed you. Crystal awards have an elegant appearance and they are inexpensive. You can have them made in a variety of different shapes, including stars, circles and squares. Aside from choosing the shape, you can have the name of the individual engraved on these rewards so that they are customized specifically for the recipient. Companies like Trophy Awards can help you with this.

3. Celebrate Accomplishments With Pizza and Other Good Food

Something as simple as a pizza party could leave your employees feeling more appreciated. If everyone reaches their goals for the week, consider throwing a pizza party. You may want to switch the theme of the party each week that goals are achieved. For example, one week could be a sushi party and the following week could be a pasta party. Make it fun and give your employees some extra time to socialize with one another.

Showing your appreciation to employees is a fantastic way to keep them motivated. If you have talented individuals working for you, there is a good chance you want to keep them around for as long as possible. One way to keep those talented individuals working for you is to make the job fun by offering incentives and rewards that show them how much they mean to you. If you put in the extra effort to show you care, your employees will take notice.
